My first deviation with a mature content warning.

I think I should´ve added this a lot sooner, but I kinda always forgot, so let me make one thing clear, just in case it wasn´t clear. Sirena didn´t create the artificial lake during the battle, that´d be insane. She created it prior, just like she petrified the Boarbatusk before the battle. This should not only make Qrow suspicious, since she´d have to have a pretty good source of information on her enemies and their plans to know that Tyrian would reach the team there and then.

Anyway, as you all know, a lot of characters in RWBY has a theme song, and Sirena is no different. However, since I couldn´t find a musician who could compose a song for me, I picked a total of 10 and compiled a playlist based on Sirena:

1. Amon Amarth - Coming of the Tide
This song is on this list because it pretty much describes her in battle. I´ll quote a bit of the lyrics for you here:
See the black crows circle high
Waiting for brave men to die
They sense the coming of the tide
When opposition´s swept aside
2. Amon Amarth - Embrace of the Endless Ocean
This song is on this list because of how Sirena felt about the ocean during her time at Beacon. Sure, the song is about a man dying at sea, but Sirena went to Beacon 7 years prior to the show´s events to learn how the surface-dwellers fought Grimm so that she could teach her people once she returned home. She really wanted to go back home, but couldn´t until she had finished her training to become a huntress.
3. Amon Amarth - Guardians of Asgaard
This song is about the brave warriors defending Asgaard from the giants, and here it´s basically a metaphor for how Sirena, and her people, defend their under water kingdom of Soraklia against the constant onslaught of Grimm.
4. Cryoshell - Creeping in my Soul
This song stands for everything I love about the deep sea. It´s dark, and cold, and bleak, and if you so much as blink at the wrong moment, you´re dead. And there´s nothing you can do against the forces surrounding you. That´s the kind of fear Sirena instills in her opponent, and for good reason.
5. Disturbed - Intoxication
This song references both her semblance, which poisons every living being she comes in contact with, as well as her ability to manipulate the minds of those experiencing strong fear. It´s a passive skill she can´t turn off, but whenever someone around her is scared, they tend to put their trust in her. Mostly with good outcomes for everyone involved.
6. Disturbed - Warrior
Let me quote the lyrics here again:
Broken down, till your hope has died
Beat down, till the victory´s mine
Stand up and show me some pride
And now, are you ready?
So yeah, Sirena is a very violent fighter. Especially if the life of someone she swore to protect (in this case Ruby) is at stake. Considering how violently she usually fights, some might go so far as to say she never planned to hurt Tyrian.
7. Orden Ogan - Mystic Symphony
This song is on this list because Sirena, as crazy as it may seem, enjoys singing. She has an amazing vocal range and can sing heart-filled ballads as well as aggressive death metal songs.
8. Orden Ogan - To New Shores of Sadness (Orchestra)
This one is on this list because it describes her mood during her time at Beacon. She was away from everything and everyone she knew, her kingdom was founded by faunus who wanted to escape prosecution and murder by humans, and she didn´t even know if she would see her kingdom ever again, or if it would be too late when she finally returned.
9. Sabaton - Wolfpack
This song isn´t about a literal wolfpack, but about a group of military submarines during WW2, who were apparently quite good at taking out targets with surprise stealth attacks. And this pretty much sums up Sirena´s fighting style: You won´t see it coming, and even if you do, there isn´t much you can do anyways.
10. Skillet - Awake and Alive
It´d be crazy to go over all the times Sirena almost died, and only pulled through because she had to save her people. But yeah, if you really want to kill her, better make sure she´s really dead. I suggest beheading, cremation and scattering the ashes all over Remnant. Just to be sure. Not that you´d get that far, but in theory it would work.

Do you have an AO3 account? I’d love to read it there.

I make it sound ruder than my intent, sorry. I’m tired.
